It needs a vacuum source, so there is a large open nipple on the intake behind the throttle body on top of the engine-with it disconnected, chances are real good it will not even start with that large a leak.

2 inlet pcv valve on 1985 ford bronco II can't find 2nd vacuum hose location

You have the correct pcv, the second port is not always used and the port that isn't used is simply plugged off. New pcv valves even come equipped with the block off plug.

Where is the pvc hose on a 99 ford explorer

Randallalt@aol.com U have v8 ? PCV is located ,drivers side rear totally to rear and down of value cover , behind the head , use mirrors to see black hoses! Use caution when pulling on hoses apart ! Pull hose off larger end of PCV ,start engine , place finger over PCV , if suction is good of PCV no need to replace pcv (unless pcv is oil soaked.). Reconnect hoses . Good luck

Changing pcv valve in 97 chevy lumina

PCV VALVE LOCATED IN THE FRONT VALVE COVER.JUST PULL PCV VALVE OUT VALVE COVER. THEN YOU PULL PCV OUT OF THE END OF HOSE THEN INSTALL THE NEW ONE. FOR THE 3.8 ENGINE REMOVE THE TOP FUEL INJECTOR COVER.DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FROM MAP SENSOR AND UNCLIP THE MAP SENSOR FROM THE PCV VALVE ACCESS COVER AND ROTATE IT COUNTERCLOCKWISE TO REMOVE IT.TO REPLACE THE VALVE PULL THE PCV AND O RING ASSEMBLY FROM THE INTAKE MANIFOLD NOTING ITS INSTALLED POSITION AND DIRECTION. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU BUY NEW PCV VALVE TAKE OLD PCV VALVE WITH YOU SO YOU WILL GET THE RIGHT ONE.THAT WILL SAVE YOU TIME AND FUEL.

Location of the PCV valve.

I don't have a mercury in front of me, or even a ford engine. however every PCV I have ever seen was plugged **** end into a valve cover and the other smaller end was fitted into a rather large vacuum hose. So do a hard target search of the valve cover(s) and you will find it. Note that the grommet the **** end snuggles into is hard and crusty and loses vacuum, so is the vacuum hose on the other end. While you are replacing the PCV valve get a new hose and grommet from the HELP section at the parts store and replace them all. Ten bucks will cover all 3 parts. Have a needle nose pliers handy to help you in removing the grommet.

Can anyone tell me (or show me a picture) of where the PCV Valve is on my 1996 ford Taurus?

PCV Valve is in the end of 1/2" or so size hose inserted into a rubber grommet in the top of one of the valve covers. I believe it's on the passenger side closest to the firewall.
If you have the 24 Valve engine, the PCV valve is on the drivers side of the engine compartment, if you're facing the front of the vehicle, just under the air intake hose. Its not directly on the engine but rather in line with the oil separator tube/hose. Follow the black accordion tube from the air cleaner to the throttle body valve. Place your hand on the bottom of the throttle body and you will find the PCV attached to two short rubber hoses. Hand access is limited, so you have to feel for the PCV and blindly remove the hoses from the PCV. Be patient, and allow time to finesse the new PCV onto both hoses.
I recommend purchasing this molded new hose for a few dollars from your Ford dealer. They tend to clog or collapse after several years. The whole process can be done in 15 to 30 minutes and save you a lot.

Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted

How do you remove a pcv valve on a 2001 ford escape v6 3.0

The PCV valve is at the end of a plastic or rubber hose which goes into the valve cover,, just pull it off the hose and replace with a new one.
