Question about 2000 Dodge Intrepid
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Since there is over a hundred reasons for a check engine light to come on, you need to have it scanned at Autozone or Advanced. They do it for free and it might pick up why your car is acting like that. You could have a problem with the ignition system, such as plugs, coils, wires, coil pack. You could check your fuel pressure to make sure the fuel pressure is correct. Your best bet is having it scanned. This way, you are not spending time and money on parts you don't need. If you can't get a code, go by this. You need fuel, air, and fire to start your vehicle. You could have a clogged fuel filter or a leaking injector. If the fuel pressure checks out, you can rule out the fuel and start looking at the ignitions. If it has been awhile since your last tune up, it couldn't hurt. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for using FixYa.
