Question about Dodge Ram 2500
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Your alternator is part of the charging system. Make sure your battery is good and holding a charge. Make sure you see no fluid leaks on the battery. Make sure the terminals are cleaned and they are tight to the post. Here is how to check your alternator to see if it needs replaced. Start your vehicle and then take the hot side battery terminal off the post. If your vehicle dies instantly, your alternator is bad and will need changed. If it doesn't die instantly, recheck the battery, wires, and terminals. Make sure the alternator wires are correct, tight, and not damaged. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for using FixYa and have a good day.
