Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Since the problem didn't occur until it was changed, recheck everything you have changed. Make sure all wires are connected. Make sure your sensor is the right size. Test your fuel pump and make sure it is at 12 Volts. If it is getting less then that, it may not work right. You may want to check the fuel pump fuse/relay or reset, if your vehicle is equipped. You can test the fuel pressure to make sure it is a fuel issue. Check your manual for the proper fuel pressure. You may have a issue in the ignition system, such as spark plugs, coils, wires, distributor, coil packs. Make sure you have no vacuum leaks and your air filter and fuel filter are not clogged. If you have any questions, just let me know. Thanks for choosing FixYa and have a good day.

to find faults I suggest that you run the fault codes . The code/s will pin point the faulty sensors, solenoids and valves. replace as recommended

Fuel pressure problem

The fuel pressure sensor is not the actual pressure of the fuel in the rail,it is in the evap (emmissions) side.Just vapors, shouldn't make the car run poorly. Low fuel pressure is a different problem,I would check the pressure regulator first (under hood,on the fuel rail),make sure the vacuum hose is ok and pull the hose off the regulator and make sure there is NO fuel in the hose.20 min, that seems odd ,try it with the gas cap OFF ,maybe there is too much vent. Only thoughts I have ,good luck!

I have a 1996 gmc yukon 4x4 have flood problems I have put in new fuel pump has good fuel pressure changed coolant sensors changed throttle body changed computer plugs wires distributor cap and button coil...

Possibly a busted fuel pressure regulator diaphragm. The regulator is mounted to the end of the fuel rail.
With the engine idling, pull the vacuum line off the regulator port. If gas comes out of the port, replace the regulator.

I changed plugs a wires fuel filter an fuel pressure relgator but still dont idle or run right 2001 chevy suburban

Your problem is most likely a sensor problem. Did you get a check engine light? It could also be a fuel pump. These vehicles are verry sensitive to even slightly low fuel pressure. Once the pump starts to get tired they just start running crappy followed by stalling and hard starting. Id start testing cheap stuff first. Like the O2 sensor. If it has been a while or never changed then it needs changed. Should be changed every other year or so to keep it working in tip top shape. cheap O2 sensors may have to be replaced more often like once every year. Next I would look at the MAF sensor. These often get a bit dirty inside and affects the ability for it to detect the proper amount of air. Clean it with a MAF safe cleaner and it just might do the trick.

1994 chev truck 6.5 turbo diesel with long hard start ,idles good and smooth, rev it up and it craps out and smokes a heavey fuel cloud, unplug optical sensor and engine runs better but still has a stumble...

There is a cold start solonoid in the injection pump on the 92&93's. this will cause a hard start, and run poorly till warms up. It does something with the presure in pump which advances it.

The truck won't start, Fuel pump is a year old, just changed out heat sensor, just changed spark plugs- truck will start when chemical is sprayed into carb looking thing. Also will start when truck is...

Check that the Idle air controller is not faulty, disconnect it and start the truck again, if the truck starts (running poorly) then replace the IAC.

fuel pump died replaced it truck ran poorly afterwards. Had a prussuer test done pump determend pump was no good. Put in another ran good for 2 days started running poorly hard to start no power. 2nd fuel pump. So i figure another bad new fuel pump wow changed it put in a third brand new fuel pump. Still will not eve start now. I had it tuned up 2 months ago new plugs rotor, cap, etc. put in a new fuel filter made sure it is on proper checked all connections for leaks. this cannot be a fuel pump problem now. no problem with the elctrical i figure i have great spark on ignition tester. I can hear the fuel pump prime when i turn the key. but when i went and checked the fuel port i had no pressure. When it is being cranked gas sews out of the test port. Also i dont if this is comon cause i used to turn my keyand go. but when i have someone turn the key and i listen at the gas tank whn the key is shut off i hear gs spraying back into the gas tank. So i am open for opinions.
