Thanks for choosing FIxYa and welcome to the site. Have you checked your fuel filter, fuel lines, or fuel injectors? If the fuel pump is working, it would have to be one of these parts. Take the filter off and see if gas is going through. If it is, check the fuel lines and rails. Check to see if any gas is getting to your injectors. Check them all. You should be able to find out where the gas is stopping. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for using FIxYa and have a good day.

I have no power to the fuel pump and dont know what to check on a 89 Ford bronco ll

Check the fuel pump relay switch. According to a post on the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums, the fuel pump relay switch is located under the PDB (Power Distribution Box) . You may need to refer to the wiring diagram to locate it. If you don't have one, you can request it from the same post.

Check the fuel pump cutoff switch. This switch is located behind the firewall and is designed to shut off the fuel supply in case of an accident .

Check the fuel rail pressure regulator. If the fuel pump and the fuel cutoff switch are working fine, then the problem might be with the fuel rail pressure regulator. This is a small can mounted inline with the fuel rail with a vacuum hose attached to a hose barb on top of the unit .

Fuel pump works but cant get it to pump fuel to motor

If your fuel pump is working but not delivering fuel to the engine, it could be due to a few different reasons. Here are some possible causes and troubleshooting steps to take:
  1. Clogged fuel filter: A clogged fuel filter can restrict the flow of fuel to the engine. Try replacing the fuel filter and see if that solves the problem.
  2. Fuel pressure regulator malfunction: The fuel pressure regulator regulates the pressure of fuel delivered to the engine. If it's malfunctioning, it may not be delivering enough fuel to the engine. A mechanic can check the fuel pressure regulator and replace it if necessary.
  3. Faulty fuel pump relay: The fuel pump relay is responsible for turning on the fuel pump when the engine starts. If the relay is faulty, it may not be sending power to the fuel pump, even though the pump is working. You can check the relay by swapping it with a known good relay of the same type.
  4. Clogged fuel lines: Fuel lines can become clogged with dirt or debris, which can restrict the flow of fuel to the engine. A mechanic can inspect the fuel lines and clean or replace them if necessary.
  5. Bad fuel pump: Even though the fuel pump is running, it may not be delivering enough fuel to the engine due to a malfunction. A mechanic can test the fuel pump to determine if it's functioning properly and replace it if necessary.
In any case, if you're having trouble getting fuel to the engine, it's best to have a qualified mechanic diagnose and fix the problem.

Hi 1990lancer fuel oinjected has no fuel pressure cant here pump working do I have to take out tank to remove pump?I've checked under back seat no plate to access pump or could t be under silver deadner...

the pump is controlled by the fuel pressure regulator and if that unit is not working properly and telling the ECM to switch on the pump relay, you might be wasting time and money replacing what is not faulty
do the checks on the relay, fuses, regulator , before going to the pump

1992 Ford E150 has no power to fuel pump, inertia switch good, relays good, new pcm i am lost.

the pressure regulator controls the power requirement to the fuel pump
when pressure is reached , it allows power/circuit to the ECM to be broken which in turn stops the pump relay from working
when the pressure drops , that circuit is energized and the ECM switches on the circuit , to the relay allowing power to the pump to supply fuel to get the pressure back up
for the circuit operation you will need a schematics of the electrics for the vehicle ( workshop manual) as some may not use the ECM but go straight from the pressure regulator to the relay through a fuse

Fuel rail pressure code 43 / Po191

Check to make sure the fuel pump is working. If the fuel pump is not working check the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay, also check to make sure the inertia cut off switch hasn't been tripped. If the fuel pump is working then check the fuel pressure regulator.

How to troubleshoot a no fuel problem, no fuel at fuel rail in a 2000 olds sillhouette.

First check there is battery voltage to the pump and the pump starts when the ignition is switched on , if not check fuse and relay, check wiring from relay to pump. If ok and the pump is working , check for fuel blockage from the tank inlet to the pump , some have a sock type filter in the tank pick up tube, if all ok remove the fuel filter , switch on and fuel should flow at the filter, fit a new filter, if still no fuel at the rail fit a fuel pressure gauge an check for low pressure , if ok, the fuel pressure regulator may be stuck causing a air lock replace it.
