Question about 1996 Chevrolet Blazer
Check that the battery has at least 13.6 volts and if it does the the starter solenoid may be bad as this occurs frequently these days with rebuilt starters. You may need to return the starter for a replacement but before doing that make sure both your battery cables are clean and tight at both ends.
