There should be a serial number stamped on the block itself in front of the one of the heads (the one that sits back further. With this serial number you should be able to contact a dealer and find out the correct engine size. Older Fords had either a 289 cubic inch, a 302 and a 351 small block which from the outside will all look the same.

Stalling problems 1973 ford f100 302 small block engine

check for air and vacuum leaks. check for float level. check and adjust idle mixture correctly. Check timing is correct. check idle to 650-- 700rpm. Check point gap and coil . check condenser as if it is bad the engine will start but there will not be a hot enough spark from the coil at anything above idle.

Where can I find a picture of the back side of the fuse block for my 1969 Ford F100?

back side looks like the front but with wire terminals instead of fuse grooves. i do not think you can find a repair manual on a car this old on ebay. however most library reference sections keep MOTORS MANUALS and those go back to 1940s, might be on CD these days. also call around to local junkyards and see if any of them have a late 60s or early 70s Ford PU and go tear the one out of it.
rare to find any pre 90s stuff in junkyards, but there are some hold outs. there is a truck only junkyard in Dundee Ohio, they could possibly have an old ford yet. find them with a google search. good luck, hope i gave you some ideas or help

How to install distributor wire the order I misted the order

Depending on what engine you have, hear are the firing orders:
Small block 302 or big block 460: 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
Small block 351: 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8
Looking at the engine from the front, cylinder number 1 is at the front on your left. That side is numbered 1-2-3-4. Number 5 cylinder is at the front on your right and the numbering is 5-6-7-8. The distributor spins counterclockwise. Number 1 is usually marked on the cap. If not, no.1 on the cap is about 1 o'clock as you're looking at it from the front. Good luck!

1967 ford f100 firing order for spark plugs has 1968 390 v8 aoutomatic

According to my Chilton book the firing order for that motor is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. Cylinders are numbered 1 through 4 on the passenger side from front to back. Cylinders 5 through 8 are the same on driver's side. The distributor,on the front, turns counter clockwise. The clips to hold the cap on should be at 12 and 6 o'clock and #1 piston is the first one to the driver's side of the back clip. Hope this helps

Where is the engine number stamped on a ford 302 winsor block from a 1980 mustang

Should be right on the side of the engine block, just below the spark plug holes on the right side of the motor. If the motor is still in the car, it will be hard to see. You may also need to clean the dirt and oil off if any exists.
