Question about 2001 Chevrolet S-10
It could need a fuel injector cleaning or replacement if an injector has a problem.check the air filter as i`v seen them so plugged to cause this type of problem.there could also be a problem with the throttle position sensor(tps)not sensing the proper voltage increase when moving the throttle.i guess you installed a new fuel pump not a used pump but sometimes even a new pump is defective and the fuel pressure and volume should be checked.it`s also possible the catalytic converter is plugging up and needs to have the exhaust back pressure checked.at idle the pressure should be less than 1lb pressure and at 2,000 rpm`s should be less then 2.how dirty was the filter when it was replaced it could need changing again if there is alot of dirt in the fuel system.
