Check fluid when hot, engine running in park, if low add a little at a time through the dipstick tube. yyou'll need to dip, clean, dip several times to get excess fluid still going down tube out of the picture.

Poor the transmission fluid directly into the dipstick tube slowly to avoid over filling. Check the fluid as you pour it in little by little so you don't over fill it.

Transmission

You fill it until the fluid is about 1/2 inch below the fill hole. Do not overfill.

How do i check tranmision fluid on a 2004 ford exployer xlt. It has no dipstick to check level or to add fluid.

On transmission pan drain plug will have a small hex screw in the center of drain plug, with engine running and in park remove little center screw, if fluid comes out, transmission level is good, of no fluid come out, will have to pump fluid in that same little plug hole, till fluid starts to come out.

My 1989 ford f250 belt broke and hit my transmission line relaced the belt and fixed the transmission line but Iam unsure of how much fluid to add ?

I am assuming that you lost a lot of fluid when this happened and that nothing is showing on the transmission fluid stick? If so, add fluid a little bit at a time until you see the fluid show up about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch on the stick. At this point you should be safe to start the vehicle, but have at least one - two quarts of transmission fluid ready to go in when you do so. With it running, add fluid until you get to the "Add" mark or the lower little hole in the stick. Stop and let the engine/transmission warm up to operating temperature. Once at temperature you can now adjust the level to the "Full" mark.

Cant find dip stick for tranny fluid 2004 sunfire

GM went to sealed transmissions. That car doesn't have a transmission dipstick.

There's a fill bolt that needs to be removed from the transmission while the car is on a level surface. If transmission fluid comes out, then you're at the proper level. Otherwise fill until fluid starts to come out. (Similar to what would be done on a manual transmission)

Look at the top of the transmission for a little red cap(like the oil fill cap) this is where you add fluid. If you want to check fluid condition, you need to remove cap and stick something in there and smear the fluid on a piece of paper to see color.

Hope this helps you out

How to check transmission fluid 2007 tundra 2wd 5.7L

you dont, there is no dip stick, you need to remove the fill plug over fill the transmission then remove the check plug and drain the fluid to a trickel and reinstall the plug. would recommed taking to the dealer if your haveing shift issues, or if its leaking. those transmissions dont like to be over/under filled as little as 500ml can cause problems

Sealed transmission.. where do I input new fluid?

Typically you use a funnel and pour it down the dipstick tube.
It is a sealed transmission. The owners manual advises never to change the transmission fluid but, if you just want to do it, there is a fill plug on the side of the transmission itself. The drain plug is a two-stage design also. Of course, you will take it out in order to drain the fluid. However, after snugging it back in, back it out just a little. This opens the fluid check tube inside without draining any fluid. Fill from the fill hole until it starts to drip out of the drain plug. Tighten the plug back all the way, replace the fill plug, and you are done.

cheers!!!!!!!!

I can't find where to check or add transmission fluid in the manual transmission

the check/fill plug is located on the left side of the transmission possibly on the right depends on the transmission its about mid way up on the side of transmission to check remove plug and if the gear oil starts to run out just a little its fine if u want to replace the fluid drain the transmission and fill till the fluid just starts to come out of the fill/check plug sight. hope this helps with what u need to do.
