Question about 1991 Chevrolet C1500
I need to know how to remove and reassemble broken column. a diagram will be very helpful. thanks

The column comes out very easy. Remove the bottom of the dash panel just under the column ( four screws ) then you can get to the four bolts holding up the column. This will allow it to drop down so that you can unplug the wiring from it. Follow the column to the fiire wall and remove the four bolts around it, freeing it from the fire wall. Now go under the hood and look for the joining bolt that connects the column to the steering shaft. It's only one bolt that goes through the center on the shaft and is up by the fire wall. Remove the nut and pull out the bolt. After you do this you can go back in the cab and pull the steering column out of the truck. Just reverse the process to put in the new one.
