Question about Ford F-150
Depending on how old the vehicle is,it may be a bad modulator valve on the transmission,or just a clogged vacum line to the modulator valve on the transmission. please be specific with year, make and model, but i gave you diagnostic for 89 trhu 99 for most models anyway, research what year, make model of your vehicle.some want to blow smoke and say bad electrical module.do your research 1st beause transmission shops are gonna say replace the transmission to replace the issue. beware the trans shops that use 'god' for logo.some are great, others are ****. ask for a list of customers, and stand in line at those shops for disgruntled customers.do your research, angie's list.com is one way of finding out who does great work. wish you the best.
