2000 Nissan Maxima, My bose speakers 6 of them went out first. My stereo still played sound just coming out around the stereo. Then the next day, a terrible buzzing noise only, couldn't even turn the volume down? My stereo lights did of course turn on, but could not stand the loud buzzing noise, also the cd and tape player turned on, but of course, with this annoying buzzing sound. Has the speaker wire come loose from the antenna in the back glass? If so, where do I go to check? Any suggestions on how to fix this?

sounds funny but disconnecr the battery and then hook it back up-I did this and power was restored to my radio-I have no idea why this worked.

i had multiple problems with my stereo in my terrano just recently. first started with the digital trip meter going out and no audio, that was to do with the earth cable which came from te car. on mine it was a pink and silver cable, maybe it was done wrong from who ever wired it in first but it didnt like it so i went straight from the head unit to the chassis... secondly it could be the amp control cable. it may be loose or something. and thirdly a problem my friend encountered with his stereo was that the unit would turn on but no audio and after sctatching at our heads for a while we thought we'd go through from behind the head unit and remove each speaker when we took one out of the equation we got audio and it was because the speaker was shorting against the car body which would prevent any other speaker from working. hope these help. as for the dimming im not quite to sure maybe get a multi metre onto the power and see if its reading 12v.

Hi, this is a common issue within car CD changers. the load motor go through lots of trauma during the life span that i usually 3 to 5 years. the load motor operates everything in the changer. it works the load tray and spinning of the disc as well. when this motor is out, the changer will be rendered useless. replacing the load motor will fix this issue or, you can just purchase a new changer and save a lot of money.

Have you check the mute mode, maybe it is in mute mode.
