Question about 1997 GMC Sierra
There are several things to consider, first I would check the tire balance. Then I would go to the front alignment. If you have trouble on one side or the other you may just have a bad tire.

Loud noise in rear end. Replaced both rear axel bearings, both u-joints & rotated the tires. Still have the loud noise. Pinion gear is Ok, replaced seal.
