Depending on the mileage you might want to check the timing belt or chain

I have a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 and it died driving down the road, it will start up again run a few seconds and die. Have checked fuel pressure and it is good. Any ideas? Thank you!

What is the fuel pressure reading? Have you installed a gauge to actually read it. There may be fuel volume but low pressure causing this issue.

My 1998 ford contour sport will not turn over. I replaced the battery and plugs. It fired right up. Then the next day it tries to start but won't crank.

sounds like a bad cam/crank sensor, or bad inertia switch. Ford trucks usually have a switch on the inside firewall that shuts off fuel pump in the event of a wreck. These switches go out occasionaly and will not allow vehichle to start

1998 ford explorer oil pressure

Knocking in engine and low oil pressure usually means bad main bearings. May have been caused by bad oil pump or just worn out bearings due to high mileage. If this is problem needs engine or rebuild old engine.

I have a 2001 Ford Explorer XLT, stopped at a lite and it died but started right up and hasn't done it again. I havent had a tune up done is awhile. Could this be the problem

Could be a TPMS sensor or a MAP sensor. Check the fuel pressure to why u are at it. Cleanning the throttle body will be helpful also.If its been awhile i would check plug gap. To wide of a gap it wont fire like it should. A fuel filter is a plus also. Might be in the tank?

MY 98 FORD EXPLORER CRANKS BUT DOES NOT TURN OVER. I HAVE POWER BUT MY VEHICLE WON'T START

You mean that the starter is turning (cranks) the engine but the engine won't start? Be sure it is getting fuel. Turn the key to the on position and you should hear the fuel pump in the fuel tank run for a few seconds. If so that is good. If the fuel is being delivered then possibly you have no spark which usually is the electronic ignition module. The only way to test it is to replace it. Your timing chain or belt could be broken or "jumped" as the third possibility. I am leaning toward ignition module being bad as they just die without warning and nothing can revive them.

lossen fuel supply line to the engine/ crank the engine and see if fuel comes out if not then the fuel pump is fried...if pump is ok check for clogged filters
