My power door locks and rear hatch on my 2000 GMC Safari will not work. Everything else is still working. Any idea of what may be wrong?

There are two fuses associated with the door locks system. The first is the Cigarette Lighter Fuse (Fuse 13 - 20A). This fuse provides power to the switches to activate the lock/motor relays. The second fuse is the PWR ACCY Circuit Breaker (30A). This provides the power thru the relay contacts to the lock solenoids/door motor. Both of the are in the Instrument Panel (IP) Fuse block.

I would check for broken wire/wires in the heavy rubber boot that flex's everytime you open and close the door. at frt. of door all the wires run through it to door from cowl. very common problem on both sides

200 GMC Safari Drivers window. The window will go up and down and then it will just stop working. I have to wait a few minutes before I can get it to work again. I was thinking is was the a loose wire but...

there may be binding in the regulator, lube all moving parts and rubber channels with a silicone lube. if that doesnt help. you need a new motor.

2000 GMC Safari drivers window goes up and down slow and stops. It only moves a little at a time. You have to wait a little while and move it a little more till you finally get it closed.Motor problem?

yes it sounds like the window motor is getting weak but when i had it tore down i would check all of the track system to make sure the window will move up & down freely with the motor removed.

Frying power window switches

I had a similar problem in my 1993 Safari. Problem turned out NOT to be a switch, but a broken wire in the driver side door opening between the door and the frame. I found a cut in the wiring insulation, and it corroded, breaking. This disabled the window control.
