Question about 2005 Ford Five Hundred
Ever since we had the local Ford dealer conduct their standard tests to diagnose the "check engine" light, both side mirrors ignore the programmed settings for my wife and I. They are unpredictable now, but typically move to the full right, left, or down position. Sometimes the manual control does not work at all. Additionally, the seat adjustment system (programmed settings 1 and 2) do not respond when pushing the button. Have you seen any of these issues before? Do you have any suggestions before the dealer charges us another $100 for telling us nothing is wrong?
Thanks much, Tom
Check the owners manual for proper programming of the these systems, and this is not a common problem, nor do I think it is related to the dealer fixing the check engine light, if you are sure they caused this problem during the last repair go back and ask them to please at least confirm that the issue was not caused by them, they will usually not charge if you are nice, about it.
