2003 Pontiac sunfire sometimes knocks when I brake...sounds like it is coming from my rear brakes. Does not do it all of the time (but more than usual lately)

Hi there, It could be many things. Loose bolt, shock ball joint, brake pad, brake caliper ect. You may have to get in there to take a look and wiggle some things areound to determine what is causing the clunking. my Dodge Ram does that on the front left because the bracket holding the shock in is bent so the shock is loose causing it to clunk. good luck i hope this helps!

Knocking sound

One possible cause is a drum that is out of round and / or loose brake shoes. Another could be a loose backing plate or suspension mount.
Have you had the brakes checked ?

Left rear brake line broke on my 2003 sunfire how do i fix it

Auto parts stores stock exact length brake lines now. You may have to measure. Your best bet is to get it off and take it with you. Remember you will have to bleed the system to be sure no air gets in the line.Be sure and call for parts availability before removing the brake line.

Rear brakes locking up when wet. Now abs light and service light and traction control light all coming on abs cutting in quite often even when it's not wet or slippery

Sounds like possibly your emergency brake cable got stuck at one point in time, its probably wearing your brakes down horribly. Also your rear brake calipers may have gone bad and are partially stuck closed.

Everytime i use the brakes on my 2000 sunfire i here a loud knocking noise in the rear.

you probably have a shoe that has become dislodged from it's anchor point, you need to remove the wheels and pop the drums off to visually inspect the brakes.

2003 ponitac sunfire, almost 88,000 miles. Slowly was making a 90 degree curve when loud pounding sound started somewhere in the rear of car. Stopped & put it in park and revered the engine and there...

Sounds like a combo condition concerning your rear brakes and wheel bearings, if the noise was or is louder on right turns then left replace the right side wheel bearing and vice versa.Get this car to a shop however immediately as the ABS brake system may be trying to lock up the wheel that may be wobbling causing all sorts of havoc.

Rear brakes are making an alto sound when pressed lightly and espically in reverse. Is this the rotors?

the braking pads are worn, the noise is coming from the small tip that the brake manufacturer assemble on the pads to let you know when the pads need replacing
