My headlights will turn on every now and then but go out. I checked the fuses and bulds. It seems like it is something electrical, I am not sure.

hmmmm sounds like you are on the right track with the ground . with as much current as headlights pull it is possible that the intermittent open you are experiencing has to do with heat coming from an open in the wiring . i believe your best bet would be to locate a wiring diagram for your cars headlight circuit and inspect every wire in that circuit as well as one surrounding for thing like : burn marks , corrosion , places where insulation has worn off or is no longer even there ( :) ) ,and i believe you may find something . also , some cars come with a set of relays specifically for the headlights . these the headlights may be drawing extra current through the relay causing it to switch off (means headlights are bad ) , or the relay itself may have worn out over time (relay (s) may be bad ). i hope this helps you

SOURCE: tail lights and brake lights not working with headlights on

We had the same problem with ours, that is a Saturn recall items. Check with your Saturn dealer to see if it is still in effect. It use to make our headlight switch get hot. I think it was a poor ground in the taillight housing, I use to wiggle the bulb plug-ins and that helped for a while, but after the recall was fixed it never did it again.

I went into town, turned off truck, headlights were working. Came out of store and no headlights. All the other lights, running lights, brake lights, signal lights work, but not headlights.

I guess you are saying that after you turned the ignition off, the headlights and all lights went off, but when you returned and turned ignition on all lights but the headlights came on. "a gremlin" stole my light switch? Possible, but most likely your headlight switch is bad, or the headlight relay, or if the dimmer switch makes no difference, It could be power supply or connection to the headlight dimmer relay is bad. Corrosion causes funny behavior. Clean bright metal connections make a world of difference. Follow headlight wiring back to a small box usually on the inside fender of the Engine bay. Check all connections including the ground to the frame (body metal).

1994 Buick LaSabre, great car, except for headlight/parking light issue. Went to party got out of car and heard bing, bing, turned it off, dash lights went out, I didn't think another thing as someone was...

It sounds like you have a bad light sensor for the auto lighting feature. When you are ready to exit the vehicle, first turn the lights off and then turn the car off and that should provide you with a quick fix.

The headlights of my peugeot 206 is always on, whenever I turn the car on the lights went on and remain the same. I have to turn the battery off to turn the headlights off. What could that be?

Hi, I'm not sure about your car, or if your lights are staying on when the car's turned off, but it sounds like your headlights are hard-wired, it's a safety thing on some cars from some places so you're easier to see. If they're staying on after you turn the car off I'd look for a headlight relay & swap it for a similar one to test it, or replace your headlight switch/dimmer switch.Hope this sheds some light :)

Please help my headlights went out. I replaced switches :(

Not exactly sure where to look but there may be what is called an in-line fuse-link. It would be somewhere in the wire going to the headlight. Basically a fuse but not in a fusebox. I would look under the hood and trace the wire from the headlight.

What started this mess? tailights, fog lights, brake lights....

The relay has nothing to do with the tail lights, but replacing the switch sounds like a good idea. There's a nut holding it in place, see http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts/electrics/switches/switch-headlight/1027524/ to get an idea of the construction. And the price. This is not worth fiddling about unreliable workarounds...
In addition, if fuses 15 and/or 16 burn frequently there might be a problem with the tail light cabling.

Good luck

No low beam lights

You have a short in the wiring harness, sounds like maybe a short or someone has worked on this before. With the light switch unplugged you should not have power to the headlights at all
