If this is a europeon market vehicle then no chance on a later vehicle ,from 2005 its encrypted and earlier then its possible but only with 2500+++euros of equipment

You need to check the fault codes, the diagnostic link is under the dash on the drivers side, you need a OBD2 fault code reader.

Obd2 doesnt work?

from the obd2 does nt work that means you have a blown fuse, and you will notice you dont have a check engine light as well. so you just need to check fuse in the engine .

My odometer reading as well as the obd adaptor do not communicate

dont think odometer fault has any obd2 code
its working or its not

if no faults present the engine light wont be on

My 95 s10 has a obd2 plug And a obd1 you ecm how do I scan codes

try the obd1 connector to see it communicates. if not try the other one. some of the GMs didn`t use the obd2 connector in 94 until later on other models.

if you have an aftermarket radio power that off and then try. Also could be a bad computer in the car. Need a little for info to properly diagnose

Check pin number 16 of the OBD2 data link connector under the dash, it should have 12 volts at all times. See diagram below, your connector is the bottom one..

It is most often the same fuse as the cigar lighter or power points. Use a 12 volt test light and check the terminal listed in the diagram below for power.

First check the cigarette lighter and the ECM fuse to see if either of these are blown then if their not you will have to check grounds going to the computer.

Hi there rickadams49! The reason you are unable to connect the OBD2 to your Ford is because your truck is OBD1. Before 1982-1995 is OBD1 and 1996-present is the OBD2 system. I hope this helps you out!
