This issue can be multiple items but i would check the Crank position sensor. Make sure the timing belt didn't jump teeth. Also reference the information below for further in depth troubleshooting.

Kiatechinfo.com will get you all the information you need when working on a kia 2nd only to a chiltons or haynes manual.

For kiatechinfo.com register (its free) then select the information for your car make model engine. Then either do a search for timing belt or pick from proper items in cloumn to the left.

Year/make/model??? Not going to be a timing belt issue. Possible ignition problem. Spark plug/wire/ignition coil

Engine died while driving, no spark, replaced coil, now starts, idles, runs well at low rpm, but misfires when accelerating. No check engine costs thrown. What should I check next.

Change your ignition module. The distributor is a weak point of the Honda, I will always change out the whole thing than just try the coil.

what is 28 degree's out? you cause this, or DISCOVery,
If spark is off time, the cam belt slipped. no service done?

Was driving down highway and everything went dead. engine died, headlights went off, power breaks and sterring quit as well. Pulled off to side of road. turned off key. turn on flashers they worked ,...

it is possible but start with the basics. are you getting fuel to the engine? the fuel pump may have quit. spark at the plugs? if you don't know how to do this youtube this someone will have a good video to watch.

Car won't start

could be timing belt.....dont keep trying to start because if timing is out your can bend valves and damage pistons by doing so...have it checked out by mechanic........good luck

1998 zx2 died while going down the road, wont start again

if it was me i would check the fuel filter and the cowl pack to make sure its sending a spark to the spark plugs and the engine timing and the timing belt also checkout these websites www.autozone.com and www.alldatadiy.com and maybe they have information on your car if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for you car.

Car died while driving. Electrical seems fine.

check to make sure the catalytic converter is not clogged, the timing belt won't make a noise when it breaks, check to make sure you still have compression. if this doesn't help get back to me and we'll do some other tests, please rate my fix i strive to be the best,Thanks Ray

The car died on me in the middle or the road . The #1 fuse blows

Check your ignition/fuel pump relay---it's with all the other relays in a dash tray---it's ORANGE---check it for dead-short.
