Question about 2002 Toyota Highlander
My cruise control is not working on the 2002 Toyota Highlander. I had a mechanic check it out and he couldn't find anything wrong with it that was obvious. I hear that the parts will cost me $1400, plus labor from the dealer. I'd like to do something more cost effective. Any suggestions on what I should do? Is there some digital code that would have to be re-set if I were to get the part from a pick-and-pull salvage yard?

check to make sure you don't have a vacuum leak to the cruise system. sounds like it is loosing vacuum and taking a while to build up.
