Hear water sloshing around behind

is your spare tyre located under the trunk carpet ? if so i expect that the tyre well is filled with water , has the accident damage been repaired yet ? if not then thats how water is getting in so get the repair done , if has been repaired take back to the repairer , the usual place after a repair to leak is where the rear bumper/fender is bolted to the body , these bolts need sealing as they are when vehicle is manufactured

Heat not working in 2006 mdx acura

The whole system is very simple. There is a valve that opens and closes on one of 2 hoses that come from the engine. If the heater core is not getting water, the valve itself is the problem. If they did the flushing properly they should have checked to see if that valve was fully open to allow the flushing process to clean out the heater core too. If there is sloshing in the heater core (check it by listening under the dashboard when heat is turned on) then there is AIR in the core stopping the antifreeze mix from going through its coils. Remove the heater switch on the heater hose and check it for proper action first. Next have a compressed air test of the heater core to see if it is clogged. If you fix this, try to do regular maintenance on your beautiful MDX!

I have a 1998 Jeep Gran Cherokee, that while running, I hear water sloshing around when I turn the heater fan on. I don't see any leaks, carpets are all dry, no coolant leaks, etc. Ideas what it could...

It's air in your heater core. With truck running and radiator cap off, top off radiator with coolant. My take 10-15 mins but that will help bleed air from system.

My passenger side floor is saturated with water when it rains. When I make right turn I hear what seems like water sloshing.

Hello,
If you can smell a little bit of a sweet smell from the water on the passenger side floor, or if it has an oily film to it, you may have a leaking heater core.

They usually leak on the passenger side floor, and that might explain why you hear water sloshing around.

If you can run the engine for about 5 minutes and then turn your heater on. Look under the dash in the area where the dash meets the floor board and see if you can see anything leaking.

I hope this helps you.

Problem is with temperature control. Even on a very cold day the needle goes up to the top and red light comes on. Had the car to the dealer and he replaced cross-over pipes, thermostat, and and ...

It may be anything. The good news is that if the cylinder head gasket is blownup, then the temperature goes up and never comes down. If you wil not correct the coolant temperature soon, a bloun gasket will complicate the situation. Sounds like a poor circulation from engine to radiator. The cooling process of a car involves:
1 - The heat generator - ENGINE
2 - The cooling device RADIATOR.
Coolant transfer the heat from Engine to the Radiator. From the radiator the sream of air absorb the heat from the radiator and the engine cools down. If the system has no leak, there are twoo factors that affect cooling.
1- Circulation of coolant from Engine to the Radiator.
2 - Circulation of the air through the radiator.
You have to make that you have a good circulation from engine to radiator.
The cause might be:
A bad water, pump, thermostat, or AIR POCKETS in the cooling system.
To check and normalize this you have to:
Rise up the front of engine on oil change ramps.
Top the cooling system with coolant 50/50.
Open the bleedin nipple of cooling system, and add coolant till you see coolant of the blleding nipple.
Start the engine and open the ait blleding screw. If you will se a stream of coolant going up, then you have two good news. No air pockets in the cooling system, and a good water pump. geea start leaking.
Do not run engine for more than 5 minutes. Stop the engine.
The next day with cool endine repeat again the same process.
Make sure that Radiator is free from debris. It is a good idea to clean it up. A water hose can help.

I have had a sloshing sound in my dash board of my 2006 Kia Sprectra and have had it back to the dealer's many time for repair. They cannot locate the problem , and says it air pockets. They have...

Well I hope this is it...
I had the same thing happen to mine about 3-4 months ago and was baffled, until, that is, water started accumulating on the passenger side floorboard. As the sloshing sound got louder, the puddle on the floor got bigger until I couldn't stand it and got down on the floor board myself and started digging around. First, let me note that I had noticed no condensation pooling under my car as usual and that initially raised my suspicions any way. To make a long story longer, the drain tube for the ac condensation was plugged up. Once I cleared the line the sound was gone.
I know I had heard that sound before with no leaking problems and do not know if this time it was just too clogged to run it's course.

Sounds like the sloshing noise is water in the a/c-heater box. The drain is probably plugged. I don't think the sloshing noise is causing the ragged running problem.

I can hear water sloshing around at the left hand side of the dashbord.Checked the drain at bottom of windscreen not blocked. No sign of water dripping.

The 405 is renowned for having the heater matrix go bad and often it springs a leak woth an associated slooshing sound. Heater matrix is like a mini radiator which is fed by water from the engine and is located behind the dash.

It is located on the lower left hand side of the dashboard. If you look under the glove box and in towards the direction of the centre of the car you will just about see it. Check the area around passenger floor and closest to the centre console for any dampness on the carpet or signs of leaking. If this is evident you have found your problem.

One solution is replacement from breakers though companies can be found who specialise in radiator repair and if you can find one in your area this is an even better solution.

Slooshing water noise like you describe is sometimes associated with impending head gasket failure but I would check your carpets first for dampness and eliminate the heater matrix first owing to it being a known failure point on the 405.

Hope this helps.
