You have to cut the ac belt to replace the alternator belt then replace both of them. I have been a mechanic for 10 years and its the only vehicle i know thats like that.

adjust ur belt by following steps now that you know
where the components are these components are driven by a belt. So when
you turn your AC on there’s a belt that’s driving the AC compressor,
when you turn the stirring wheel and you have that nice that easy feel
of turning the stirring wheel when you’re parallel parking your car
that’s the power stirring pump doing its job. Your alternator is
keeping the battery charged, the lights on and the engine running. So I
want to show you where the belts are, what they look like, how to
adjust them and how to tell a bad belt from a good belt. As you can see
these are your drive belts, this is the AC drive belt it drives the AC
compressor, this is the alternator drive belt it drives the alternator,
if you look down here you can see this is where the adjustment is on
that AC compressor belt, if you look right here this is the top
adjusting bolt for adjusting the alternator either up or down to
tighten or loosen the belt. There’s a bolt down here that locks the
alternator in place and this bolt is the pivot bolt for the alternator.
So if you’re going to let’s say remove your alternator belt you’d have
to remove these covers, loosen this bolt, loosen this bolt that’s
underneath this cover and adjust this bolt to either lower the
alternator or raise the alternator, if you’re belt was too loose you’ll
pull up on the alternator, if the belt was too tight you’ll
problems include failing ac pulley bearings , failing compressor , excessive gas in the ac
have an ac specialist check the gas pressures
before replacing the belt see if the ac pulley can be turned by hand with the ac off and then on
hi there when my belts squeek i use a bar of hand soap find a safe place to hold soap on belt as the motor is running but be carefull hope it works for you...reg

IF YOU REPLACING ALTERNATOR AND WATER PUMP BELT LOOSEN ALTERNATOR ADJUSTMENT BOLT AND PIVOT BOLT.IF REPLACING POWER STEERING PUMP BELT LOOSEN POWER STEERING PUMP ADJUSTMENT BOLT AND MOUNTING BOLTS.****** FOR THE 2.4L ENGINE TO REMOVE POWER STEERING BELT LOOSEN TOP IDLER PULLEY.FOR ALTERNATOR AND WATER PUMP BELT LOOSEN ALTERNATOR ADJUSTER BOLT, PIVOT AND MOUNTING BOLTS.FOR AC COMPRESSOR LOOSEN LOWER IDLER PULLEY.
It means that eighter the ac compressor belt needs to be replaced or the ac compressor beearing needs to be replaced,, your alternator and ac belt are on the same pully,, if eighter the belt or beering is bad,, when u switch it on,, it will squeek and put extra load on the alternator so it wont charge propperly... causing the light to come on.. replace them and you will be fine..
loosen tensioners using a pry bar or equivalant and loosen tensioners on ac and alternator then tighten when replaceing. work on outside belt off fist and then inside belt off second. then install inside belt first and then outside belt. you will see a grooved hole where the bolt goes through the alternator to reduce tension.
that belt is wrapped around the alternator which is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. loosen the alternator to remove belt. Wrap belt around pulleys and pull the belt tight but adjusting the alternator.
