You can buy cans that you put into the gas tank when you fill up(one can each fill up)but this take along time to do its job if it can,the only real way to clean injectors is with a fuel injection cleaning machine that also cleans the fuel rail were some dirt gets caught.these machines connect to the fuel rail and pressurize the system while the car is running in a bay for about 20-30minutes and works the best.of course this is done at a repair shop as this type of cleaning is expensive to buy the machine for an individual to use may be twice.the injectors could also be so plugged with dirt you may have to replace the injectors.

I have a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville that is shutting off while I am driving. It eventually starts but it happens over and over. I changed the fuel relay switch but it still happens. what next?

How long since a tune-up? Are there any applicable trouble codes? Some of the national brand auto stores will check codes free. Does it stall at idle or going down the highway?
With extended crank, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and check fuel injector pulse.

If injector pulse is missing when problem is ongoing, two things I think of, do you have an rpm signal and security system where applicable. The rpm signal comes from crank sensor. Intermittent problems can be a pain to track. Don't replace anything unless your testing points in that direction.

I just brought a new fuel pump for my 1997 pontiac bonneville the pump works but it is not pumping enough gas to motor i do not know what else to try

You may have a faulty fuel injector or a clogged fuel filter. See if it is pumping to the filter good and if it is doing the same going throught the filter as well.

My 1995 Pontiac Bonneville will turn over and start but always dies. Already replaced fuel filter and the fuel pump seems to be working but the car will not stay started. Checked the gas release on fuel...

crank position sensor...if the engine will start and run for a second or two then it dies. If, however, you can press and hold the gas pedal slightly and keep the engine going, then I would suspect the IAC-idle air control valve. This can be cleaned with spray carb cleaner.

Random cylinder misfires on cylinders 2,4,6 only. I already replaced plugs, plug wires, and ignition module.

u need to check the intake manifold for vacuum leaks as it is a common cause of this problem, also fouled dirty fuel injectors can cause this issue with a P0300 (ramdom miss), to check for intake vacuum leaks get a can of carburetor spray from any auto parts store, spray around the area of the intake near the cylinder connection, listen to the sound of the engine, if you hit a leak you will hear the idle change, if it is running rough the engine will smooth out for a few seconds, if this is negative have the fuel injectors pressure cleaned by a GM dealer, just dumping a can of cleaner into the gas tank will not do it, I have repaired many miss-fires like this with a high pressure injector clean at my dealership, it is worth the money.

1997 Bonneville lost power going up a long hill

The only thing that comes to mind is the catalytic convertor in the exhaust system. It can become restricted, reducing flow in the exhaust system, which also reduces engine power. These convertors run at fairly hot temperatures, and the extreme heat and conditions aggravated,or overloaded it.It's not very expensive to have it checked at a reputable muffler shop.I have seen extreme instances where this caused parts of the exhaust system to turn red, glowing hot.
