Question about 1997 Toyota Camry
I put diesel accidentally in the fuel tank (aprox 3 gal). When I noticed I filled the tank with gas. The car kept running but, on idle was at 1500 rpms. Once the tank of gas in the finished the car didn’t want to start.
We have checked the computer and are is ok. The spark plugs are receiving electricity. The fuel pump in the gas tank seems to be pumping fine. But it looks like the injectors are not receiving fuel.
Could it be one of the sensors?
Check the fuel pressure on the fuel rail on top of the motor. Diesel fuel tends to be "dirtier" than gasoline, and I'd be willing to bet the fuel filter is stopped up.
