Question about 1992 Buick Park Avenue
We have a 1992 Buick Park Ave. We've replaced the TPS because the code said it needed to be replaced. We had no acceleration before we put the TPS in and still don't but yet if you put it in reverse it accelerates fine.
When you put it in drive you have to put the gas pedal to the floor to get it to go. And the SES light keeps going on and off.
This will require the transmission to be removed and overhauled, the forward clutches have failed.
FixYa.com claims they have factory repair manuals, they have nothing of the sort, this is not to say some experts may have manuals, we do, but we work from home and in most cases have a small library. Experts are not employed by FixYa.com, we help free of charge as much as we can with the general automotive knowledge we have learned while working as auto technicians, specific test values, repair procedures and illustrations are unique to each car line, these are not in most cases available to us. Thanks for using FixYa!
