You have a bad wheel speed sensor if you have a technician scan the computer they can tell you what wheel it is that's defective.

Resetting abs warning light

Changing brake pads and rotors will not solve this problem. Go to Auto Zone and have them read your computer for ABS codes and then you can zero in on the problem.

My abs and traction control light is on at the same time

You would need to get the body computer scanned for trouble codes to proceed with testing.
When there is a problem with the abs system, the computer will disable the traction control too since it uses the abs system to function.

ABS-traction control check and service

I'll start with the code reader. Most simple readers will only read engine codes. You need a professional scan tool that does everything to access the body computer data.
It could be a wheel sensor which the ABS system uses, or one of the other components in the ABS system.

So your problem right now is that the ABS/TRAC light keeps coming on? is this correct? and, is there any codes in the ABS Module?

There should be a history code in the ABS when that light comes on it has a code and it will store the code in the ABS computers history. Even if the light is off there should be an ABS code or codes in the history. Having that code or codes is where we need to go next.

Then, if the lights are coming on and it is NOT setting any codes. If thats the case there could be a power or ground problem to the ABS module.but the most problem I have seen with these is the wiring to the front sensors goes bad an intermitanlty will loose a front signal to one of the front sensors and cause this. But that would usually throw a code in it. 9 times out of 10 replacing the harnesses to both front sensors should do the trick (if we had a code and knew if it was RF or LF then we would just replace the wiring to the affected side).

Abs and traction lights stay on saab 9 3 2005 1.9 vector sport

The abs light , when on turns off the traction control thats why that light is on,once the abs is repaired the traction light will go out, you need to first have the computer scanned for codes, the codes for the abs are stored in the abs computer, these codes will tell you what part of the system is not working. most of the time its a wheel speed sensor but scanning the codes is needed to find out,

Abs brAkes and track off light on

The ABS computer will have to be scanned to determine where the fault lies. When there is a problem in the ABS system the computer turns off the traction control system as well. The traction control system is essentially a function of the ABS system, when the abs doesn't work the traction control can't either. Based on past experiences my guess is you will find a wheel speed sensor fault code. They are fairly common failure items in GM models around those years. The sensors are built into the hub and bearing assembly and will likely run around $300 to replace.

the (!) symbol is for the traction control. the abs light means you have a code stored in the abs computer. the abs is what partially controls the traction control. basically go to the dealer or repair shop and have the code pulled and diagnosed.

Have the ABS system scanned for codes. The ABS and Traction control use the same computer. You likely have a bad wheel speed sensor.

This light is usually caused by a problem in the ABS system. A problem in the ABS system will dissable the traction control system. you will need to have the computers scanned for trouble codes.
