When driven for a while and machine is hot, car will not start for 30 minutes. Starter just clicks. Battery good and all functions working. Cooled down it starts again. What is the problem

Check positive cable and terminals on the starter motor are clean and tight. Your starter motor and cables may need heat shielding as resistance raises with heat.
You could also try a heaver cable to the starter motor. Also check the earthing wires between engine and chassis, and extra earth wires will help.

Car battery works but the car wont turn over the starter I think

eaither you have a bad starter, bad celinoid, or a bad connection from the positive to your starter or ground to your block. if you try and turn it overand it just clicks you have a bad celinoid. if you tap the casing of the starter and the engine turns over then you need to buy a new starter or rebuild the one you have.

Engine doesn't rotate when hot. Have new battery in it and alternator is charging correctly.

If the starter makes a loud click when you try it hot, and then spins over
when it cools. This is a symptom of a bad starter drawing more amps
then it should. The amp draw should be between 140-220 amps. If you
have a meter you can test it yourself (check it when hot) or most of the
auto parts chain stores will check it for free. Hope this helps.

When engine is hot motor does not want to turn over, sort of like weak battery, after it cools it starts with no problem. sounds like timing problem, which way do you turn distributor?

You have a worn out starter then. The armature gets hot as you drive and will swell tight against the fields inside the starter. Upon when its cooled off the swelling subsides letting the starter to operate again

87 'C' Class motorhome powered by a ford 460 factory rebuilt motor. When cold starts with no problem. When hot acts like battery is dead. Has new battery, second new starter, ground wires new, starter &...

I had same problem in varius trucks and motorhomes with the same engine size (460)and this is caused by excesive heat from the engine in all 460's,when hot if I stoped at a gas station to fill, once I tryed to start it again it felt like the battery was almost dead and bearly turned the engine over.what I did was that I added an after market engine oil cooler and that fixed the problem.

2002 Dodge Neon wont start when warmed up

The starter is most likely bad and needs to be replaced, either the solenoid or motor are binding when it heats up and the parts expand,I can't pinpoint the exact cause because you haven't indicated if you hear the solenoid click wwhen you try to start it warm.I realize the starter has been replaced, but with a remanufactured unit they are not tested when they are warm and a bad unit will pass and be rebuilt.
