I've been looking around and like you said, absolutely no one seems to sell the inner front tie rods for these for several years now.

However, I did manage to find the link below that indicates it sells a re-manufactured steering rack *with* all tie rod ends:

Not just the part you were looking for, but since it seems that it may be the only realistic choice (besides taking an unsafe gamble at a salvage yard). You could replace the rack or just swipe off the part you need and store the rest of the new unit. Although if the current inner tie rod is worn or was damage due to accident, it wouldn't be a bad idea at the price they list to just replace the entire unit.

Sorry I couldn't find anything more on that but it seems as though the product line for that year/model is quickly drying up and not being replaced.

Front wheel shakes while braking

Several possibilities. Try stopping the car with the parking brake and see if you notice as much shimmy. While loose tie rod ends can cause problems, it sounds more like the rotors may need resurfacing. A worn wheel bearing could cause a problem. Jack the car up so the wheels are off the ground and see if you can move the wheel back and forth. Loose tie rod ends would also show up with this test.

Yes degreaser will not hurt it. The outer tie rod is retained only by one nut that connects it to the inner tie rod.Once you have this loosen just turn the outer tie rod to the left to remove it from the inner tie rod.

Am changing the inner tie rod on a 2000 cirrus with a 2.5 and cant figure out how to get old one off

to get the inner tie rod out you need an inner tie rod tool, it's a long tube that fits a 1/2 inch drive rachet and there's different size adaptors that go into the end of it to fit over the tie rod, find the right size put into tool, put over tie rod and brake it loose, reverse for installtion.

Any info on tie rods

You have left and right inner tie rods and outer tie rods on your car.
You also have lower ball joints which can wear loose too....not to mention the left and right struts and upper strut bearings.

A cheap (China) tie rod may last only a year.(plastic inner wear points)
A good quality tie rod may last 10.(nylon and/or metal wear points)

Inner tie rod

Very simple, don't strike head of tie rod, take the bolt off of the top and hit gently with a hammer around were it inserts into the other rod, tie rod should just fall out, take a tape measure and measure the distance , this should get you close, but you will still need a wheel alignment.

My 2000 audi A4 squeaks when i turn to the right

Remove the tie rod end and move the wheel manually. If you still have the squeak, you need the ball joints replaced. If not, it is in your tie rod ends, most likely not the inner as it doesn't rotate with the wheel.

Front outer tie rods

Apply some up pressure on the bottom of it, this will bind it so you can tighten it on up. Yes indeed it must be aligned after installing new tie rod ends.
