Changing Spark Plugs on 2001 Chevy Blazer

How are you supposed to get the plug wires off on a 2001 Blazer to change the plugs? I was able to change the three plugs on the passanger side, but I'm unable to get the plug wires off on the drivers side, to much !@#$ in the way!

You have to jack up the vehicle and go through the wheel well. There is a flap that will lift out of the way and you can get to the plugs. The center one is a pain though because the steering shaft is in the way.

ur foolin is absolutley correct.. except I just turned the wheel all the way to the left without jacking up the car.... there is a little rubber sleeve that you can move/ roll down on the steering shaft that will give you just enough room to get the plug changed.. after you remove the wheel well flap....dont worry if its old and brittle and breaks you can pattern new ones made from black heavy rubber floor mats.. works like a charm !!

There is a special tool, (it looks like a set of unusual pliers) to remove the wires, the heat makes the rubber plug boot bond to the plug, the tool is available from any good full service parts store like NAPA, Car Quest etc. This tool costs about $5-10, depending on the brand, buy the good one, it really save time, I have 3 different ones, each is a little different shape for different trucks and cars.

No rear axle plug on my 2001 chevy blazer

Not all the Blazers/Jimmys have them, need to remove the diff cover to drain and clean magnet. New gasket afterwards, then fill in filler hole. I'm personally looking for a new diff cover that has a magnetic drainplug on it to save time scraping gaskets and no mess.

Where are the plugs on a 2001 venture?

The generic answer is "in the cylinder head".

A 2001 is only equipped with a 3.4L VIN code "E" V-6 engine. This engine is equipped with a three-coil ignition system with plug wires running from each of the coils to two of the 6 cylinders. There are 3 cylinders on the right bank (the side closest to the driver) and three cylinders on the left bank (the side closest to the radiator).

A deer hit the side of my 2000 Blazer. The passanger side the back door will lock with my finger but not with the keyless control. Thanks!

The lock you can move with your finger is part of the manual lock. You may have broke or disconnected the electronic part of the lock when you hit the deer. The only way to tell is to take the door panel off and check the wire and plug to make sure it is plugged in. Also you need to test it for power from the wire. I know if the latch motor is bad it is not to expensive ( used or new from a part store).

2001 Chevrolet Blazer spark location

Spark plugs are located on drivers side of engine and passenger side of the engine. Follow the distributor wires coming off your distributor cap. You will not be able to easily access all of your spark plugs from the top. For those pesky hard to reach spark plugs it is advised that you go through your wheel wells. You may have to remove the plastic shroud (or cut a hole in it).

Location of spark plugs on 4.3l v-6 in a 2001 chevy blazer

Chevy usually puts the spark plugs down below the exhaust manifold.
You usually have to do them by feel, or use a mirror.
