Question about 1997 Buick Park Avenue
I was on my way home from work and I was low on gas very low and when I tried to start it it wouldn't star then me and my husband went and bought gas and put it in the car and it started but then the next morning it wouldn't start gain and we have not been able to start it since it turns over but it wo't stay started we had a mechanic check it and he mentioned something about a security lock on the car and when it runs out of gas you have to unlock it with a code unfortunately we bought this car almost 7 years ago and didn't get any security code from the guy. Please help my job depends on it. Thanks
Hi. I also have a 1997 Ultra. I Had the same problem recently and I took the car to the dealer where they found out it was the gas pump, that is located inside the gas tank. Problem fixed. I also had an intermitent problem where the car would stall while driving, and would not start, also it was fixed by the dealer. Hope that helps.
P.S. Try to avoid just any shop with the this car. I had a lot of problems with mechanics that where not properly trained to work on the Ultra. In the end you are better of taking it to the dealer.
