You need to take it to a qualified mechanic since it isn't something that you want to be messing with if you don't have any experience. It could be as easy as a fuse, but it could be a sensor that is at fault, but it will need to be put on a scanner if it is a sensor.

SOURCE: air bag lite wont turn off in 1999 explorer sport

the light is blinking a fault code at u, but here is the most common cause of the airbag light staying on, it is caused by a break in the flat ribbon rotating contact under the steering wheel, this contact assembly is called the clock-spring contact, u must dis-arm the airbag system and remove the steering wheel to replace it.

If the brake lights will not turn off, the switch on the brake pedal is shorted or damaged. Look for it on the brake pedal under the dash. You will not need to remove the steering wheel.

SOURCE: 2009pontiac air bag lite stays on how do i fix thank you

Take it to the dealer or a capable shop so the codes it has stored can be read and attended to. After possible repairs the tech can turn light off, and it should stay off.

what do you mean reset, if the air bag light is on, there will be a fault code set to address the problem. Have a technician check and make necessary repair.

Air bag Light Stays on.

The seat cushion has an occupant sensor. if it detects occupant and no buckle latch , it may see this as a fault. You may also have a switch failure in the buckle assembly as well.

2003 taurus won't talk to computer. check engine lite is on. car runs fine. air bag lite flickers when I step on brake, or use turn signal. cruise control also stopped working and horn wont work.

theres more problems than you can handle without a manual, scanner, and proper testing equipment. take it to a dealer or a qualified repair shop, do not take it to some chain store hacks.

Air bag lite flashing no check engine lite on acc.

You have a problem with the SRS, or air bag system. Take it to the dealer to get it checked out and find out what is wrong if you want your air bags to work in a collision. If not, don't worry about it.

It's unlikely the turn signal switch. Try disconnecting the switch mounted directly above the brake pedal. If the light turns off the problem is in the brake switch. They commonly go bad and can be picked up at a gm dealer for about $15.
