Don't mean to tell you a different answer than what
you want to hear,BUT,with all thoses issues,my
suggestion is take it to a repair shop and make

My 2000 jimmy has heat problems. the heat goes from cold to hot to warm to cold etc. what could the problem be?

If the temp gauge is now more stable, the problem is in your heater system, not the engine cooling system.

I would replace the harness going to the pump assembly. They are notorious for going bad. A lot of the new pumps come with it. Hope this helps, TJ

When i get in my jimmy to go to work its blowing hot air( with the heater on of course) and then there is a creaking noise coming from the blower motor area, then the heater will start blowing cold air...

Because the Main Gear in the Blend Motor has cracked or teeth have chipped and is now not keeping the heat/cold door to the Hot position. 3 fixes: Buy a new Blend motor, takes about 5mins to replace. Buy a new Blend Motor Gear, will take about 30mins to fix. Repair current gear with Epoxy, takes about 30mins and 12hrs for the glue to set up strong enough to use it.

2001 gmc jimm running hot

You have air in the system, you will need to work that out, some engine have cooling systen bleeders, if not loosen a heater hose to bleed air from the system.

2000 GMC Heater Problem

I had problems with a similar truck,a 1998 GMC diesel after checking to make sure the control cables were operating the blend door and blowing the mess of the heater core,I replace the thermostats.Still no heat turns out there was a small amount of debris collecting in the fitting for the inlet hose at the thermostat housing after removing it and blowing out the lines the heat was fine.

2001 gmc jimmy v6

alot of info to go off of. It could be one of the following simple problems. Low coolant due to small leak on pump or hose. Busted water pump shaft so pump not working. Faulty thermostate. If all I've stated seems like a forgein laguange to you, take it to a shop.
