Since these may draw a good bit of current, they may be relay controlled; check for a diagram of fuse and relay functions inside the lid of the fuse box where they may be molded into the plastic. Also; if you find only one wire to each fog-light housing, they may be poorly grounded. You may need a simple multimeter to trace this problem.

Why dont foglights turn on

On some cars, the headlight must be on for the fog lights to work.
There could also be a relay for the fog lights that is bad.

Where's the switch to turn the foglights?

The headlamp knob doubles as the foglight switch. You just push it in. Its the middle knob in this picture if it posts right. Hope this helps.

Verona 2005 fog lights won't work. Fuses are ok, lightbulbs are ok. Fog light switch lites.

Remove the entire foglight assembly check for a loose wire inside the assembly. I had the same problem on mine but it only affected one of the foglights. Also check with a test light at the connector where it connects into the foglight assembly. Also make sure foglight bulbs are properlly tighted.

Foglight switch

It should be located on your signal stalk. On the end of the stalk is the switch to turn on your running lights and headlights. Further in on this stock is the switch to turn on your fog lights

1999 grand am. low beams dont work. i checked all fuses and relays. ideas????

Lets start by checking the fog lamps. Turn the headlights on, switch to low beam, turn on the fog lights and see if they come on. If the foglights don't work, then you don't have voltage on the low beam circuit to the BCM. If you do have foglights, then the low beam circuit is providing voltage to the BCM.
By determining if the foglights work or don't work we will be able tell what side of the circuit we need to work on.
Let me know.

Foglight Switches

if you wired them into the factory harness, then you will have to add a factory switch. however you can wire an aftermarket switch directly to the foglights, bypassing any factory harness
