Just a suggestion. Take it to your local Advance Auto Parts store. They will give you a FREE diagnostics test. They can tell you the problem, cost, and code meaning. I hope you the best.

Failed the emissions test (Il..) code came up P1441. After researching code translatons it means: evaporative emission system flow during non- purge. I called advanced auto parts( because that or any code...

ok looking for evap leaks are sometimes hard a vary small leak will cause you grief you can try to pressure up your fuel system with air hose to fuel filler opening 3 psi max , don't blow your self up , get a garden sprayer and dish soap with water and start spraying down the evap system look for bubbles and fix the leak

I need the reason for the ecu error codes for a 2001 firebird 3.8L code #01 P0601,#02 P0606,#3 P1518

P0601 means your engine computer has an internal error; P0606 means that the engine computer has stored in memory exactly the running condition( much like a "black box") that the vehicle was in when the P0606 was triggered. P1518 also relates to the PCM in the matter of low voltage.

Try testing the battery as improper voltage can cause all of these codes. Otherwise it means that your PCM has failed and either needs to be reprogrammed or replaced.

Emisssion test failed with 0p410 code/fuel cap failed

The diagnostic test won`t tell you if there is water or what the problem is exactly. There is a trouble tree you follow when you get a code and it will tell you test a number of things by using a multimeter or test light. Some techs skip test or just replace parts and clear the code and sometimes the test do not come up with a failure. The usual problem with this code is water in the system and it usually requires replacing the injection pump. There is a service bulletin for this vehicle not passing the I/M test. The bulletin is 06-06-04-037.What you should do is go to the dealership and see if they can give you a copy of this bulletin so you can show it to the inspectors that are performing the test.Hope this helps.Good luck.
