I have a 2000 s500 Mercedes Benz i try to tap into my radio for power with a aftermarket radio and loss all power air unit alarm not working fan running high

The yellow wire is for memory on the radio. You have to tap into a key on power source for the on/off button on the radio. Sounds like you may have messed up other components by tapping into a data wire. You can unhook the battery for about 30 minutes and see if they reset. If not, you most likely have to replace them. Send 12 volts to the wire wire and you can burn up many other computers.

Where to tap 12v switched in the dash?

There should be the power wire to the stereo that you can tap into. Red not yellow. Yellow is constant power and red is power when the key is on.

How do i tap into a 2011 buick enclave dome light to add led lights under the dash. I want them to turn on when the dome light goes on. Where would I find the positive wire for those lights

The easiest place for you to tap the Dome light power would be at teh fuse panel where the fuse is located. The ground for that to work is the little switch in teh door jam near the hinges. The problem you may run into is the dome light coming on when you activate the switch to turn those LED lights on. Your going to tap the power wire direct and put the switch to turn them on controlling the ground unless you want them to work at the same time the dome light does in which case I would tap the power line direct and then run an additional wire to tap the switch in the door. A better option, at least to me, would be to tap power off the lighter circuit and control that with the switch then you could ground anywhere you have a good ground.

Where can I safely tap 12v power to add another circuit?

Check the ignition wires with a test light and locate the wire that goes on and off with the key turned
Auto part stores sell an adaptive positive battery cable connector tap off this with #12 wire to one side of a 30A relay tap the other side (load) this goes to your device then: tap off the other side of the relay (switch) cut the wire to the ignition feed; then back to the ignition switch use #18 wire with either wirenuts or, crimp connectors for this and, don't forget to ground ask the auto parts person to show you the "load" side (your device" and, the "switch" side of the relay.
