SOURCE: 2005 toyota corolla s transmission fluid

The cleaning is by flushing. DO NOT LET THEM FLUSH YOUR TRANNY! It will do nothing but damage the tranny.

For as fluid. the 3.2 quarts is if you dont drain the torque converter. If you drain the converter then it will take about 14 to 16 quarts.

The reason i say do not let them flush the tranny is because they force the fluid backwards through the system and that will damage it. Also if the tranny is almost on its last "leg" and you may not know it. Then all that will do is speed the process up.

about 15 if you have a flush machine do it. If you do a drain and fill you'l only drain about half of it out. so your not really gaining anything by doing it yourself

SOURCE: Capacity of fluid for a transmission of a 2006 F150 5.4L Truck. Book says 13.9 quarts I emptied 3-4 quarts.

you must have just drained the pan? There is much more held in the converter. The one I am rebuilding this week is an 05 and doesn't have a drain plug on it (not many do anymore). A flush is the only way to change it all out. 13.9qts sounds like the total amount if the trans was completely empty, converter and all

How much transmission fluid for 1988 reliant automatic transmission

Sources for your answer: 1) A Plymouth/Dodge/Chrysler dealer.
2) Any transmission shop. 3) Your owners manual.
If you have none of those, what I would do is add 3 quarts to your empty transmission pan, then start the car and let it warm up, without moving the shift lever from Park.
After it is warmed up, (about 5 minutes), check the fluid on the dipstick, and add half a quart at a time until it reads full.
I should guess it will be taking about 4 quarts.
God bless your efforts.

Transmission light wont go off

It looks like the transmission level sensor is burned out. You know that the transmission wasn't empty but it was only low...one quart, to be exact. Replace the sensor!

The transmission fluid looks empty and I have put in a quart of fluid. How do you read the dip stick. Is the car on?, in gear? or off? My American cars it was always on (warm) and not in gear.

In park or neutral with the engine running - and on a level surface.

You put a quart of fluid in without knowing? If you were over a quart low you either need to find your leak or something is about to happen in your transmission.

To Drain and Fill Transmission is will take 4 quarts (3.8qts) use ONLY HONDA APPROVED TRANSMISSION FLUID.
