First check the switch, then check the wiring to the door from the frame, after that it is a case of getting at the motor itseld inside the door panel, but my bet is the switch. The fuse covers all the windows, so don't worry about that.

Speed sensor location on a Nissan Maxima 2000 gxe
There are two speed sensors one is called a revolution sensor that is located on the case of the transmission. You can take the driver side wheel off and see the sensor on the top of the case of the transmission. A 10mm bolt is holding it in. Easy fix

2002 nissan maxima , parking light on driver side not working. checked bulb and light housing. both good. what else should i check for before entering hariness???
You might want to test the wire with a test light to see where you have power up to.There could be a brake in the wire somewhere or a loose ground.
I'll also add this video in case someone needs to figure out how to remove the actual lens.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Negative battery cable If equipped, engine cover On 2002-2006 Maxima, air duct and air cleaner case On 2002-2006 Maxima, drive belts Water drain plug on water pump side of cylinder block Lower radiator hose Water inlet and thermostat assembly
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure
  5. Install thermostat with jiggle valve facing upward.
  6. Run engine and check for leaks

When i go to roll up the front windows of my 2002 maxima, the windows go all the way up then go back down about 6". They do not stay fully closed
the window regulator microswitches went bad, try to find them on a nissan dealer or you may have to replace the whole regulator, check if theres any recall for this vehicle for the windows.
