The fuse is the same one that works the tail lights.check for voltage at the license light connector at the back of the truck behind the bumper and check the wiring back there for bad wiring.i presume that you checked the bulb.

Where is the fuse for the license plate lamp located

I'll tell you where the fuse is but I want to mention that if it is just the license plate lamps that are out you may have other problems. The fuse you are looking for also controls the power to the left & right back up lamps, the right park & stop lamps and I think the left turn signal but don't quote me on that. So as you can see this fuse covers more then just the lamps for the license plate. Anyhow the fuse you are looking for is in the fuse box located to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedel. It is in the number 7 position (see picture below) and is a 15 amp blue fuse. I hope this helped and good luck.

Tag light is not working. is there a fuse that will get the light turned back on?

The fuse labeled REAR PARK LP 15A in the right instrument panel fuse box powers the rear park lamps, and the tag lamps. If your rear park lamps are working then you most likely need to replace the tag lamps (bulbs). Use the following procedure to replace the lamps.

To Remove:
  1. Remove the two mounting screws from the license plate lamp.
  2. Remove the license plate lamp from the rear bumper fascia.
  3. Remove the license plate lamp socket by turning it counterclockwise.
To Install:
  1. Install the license plate lamp socket by turning it clockwise.
  2. Position the license plate lamp to the rear bumper fascia.
  3. Install the license plate lamp mounting screws.

Trying to find a fuse for licsense plate lamp. I would greatly appreciate the help asap. inspection failed because of it.

Are there any other rear lights out? If so, there is a 7.5 amp fuse which could be the issue. If not, the only 2 issues that would cause this would be, bad bulb/socket, or broken wire going to both lamps for the license plate lights. Check the bulbs first and let me know. The interior fuse block under the dash(driver's side) would be the likely location for that fuse. Let me know.

I lost my tail lights? all other lights work. checked the fuses and grounds.brake lghts work.licsense plate bulbs, headlights, dashlightseverything but the tailliughts.. Where could the problem be?

If you got dash lights and license plate lights then your fuses are ok, as these are all on the same circut. There are possible reasons for it happening.
  1. You have a break in the wiring loom somewhere in the boot area, so remove the covers inside the boot area and check over the main wiring loom running down the right or left hand side of the boot. check for wear on the loom and worn through tape which you can them see if the wiring has a break in it.
  2. Check each bulb, take it out and hold it up to a good light source or during the day and give it a flick if you see the filament inside move alot then its broken.
If the bulbs are ok then its a wiring problem, check the loom as explained above an also check all connections are clean and tight. Hope this is helpful, let me know how you get on.
