9 out of 10 times it is because the refrigerant is low. This means you have a leak and it needs topped up or repaired. It could be a slow leak which can be repaired with a sealant ($250) or if it is a big leak..it will need to be repaired in a garage (roughly $900 and up). If it just started I would say it is a slow leak because it is a 1994, find a A/C guy that does Residential A/C and he will probably be able to help you for $250 (or less) cash - the sealant, refrigerant top up and labor. And remember to get a phone number for the guy in case it needs to be done a couple of years from now. I did this sealant to about 200 cars (1990's to 2007) and have had only 75 needed to be done every 3 years. Hope this helps.

On my 2001 Honda Accord EX, the cooling fans will not come on when the air conditioner is turned on and it will not cool. What is causing this?

sounds like an air conditioning issue if your only complaint is the fans not coming on when air conditioning is used. you need to have the a/c sys checked out to see if you have a leak or perhaps refrigerant may be low. sometimes you may have a compressor that no longer works so the system may not be building up pressure so the pressure switch does not cycle the fans.

I have a 1993 Chevy S-10 4.3L automatic. The heat won't shut off. It pours out regardless of the position of the climate controls. Coolant level and condition good. AC would work but. Thanks.

Air conditioning does not work. compressor is not kicking on

Compressors have a shut-off switch if the coolant is low. Check the pressure and go from there. Low coolant is the most common reason for the compressor not to come on.

1994 BMW 318is air conditioning not working. Started going on and off in the beginning about three weeks ago. HELP!!!!!

That is what they call cycling. More than likly you are low on freon. the compressor has a pressure swith that will shut the compressor down when it gets too low. As it starts getting low then it will start cycling. Have your ac system checked for leaks and refilled.

A/c does not work

Have a certified shop check the A/C system charge. More than likely it's low on freon, which will keep the A/C compressor from coming on. Its possible it could just need to be charged up. Be prepared though... it's possible the compressor itself could be bad, and that gets expensive. Good luck.

No cool air when idling..

The refrigerant level may still be to low or the compressor is not working properly.

A/c system is full, compressor cycles normally when below 90/95 outside, but when conditions are very hot (like when I need a/c) compressor cycles on/off every ten seconds, and does not remain on long...

Sounds like the a/c pump clutch is starting to wear out, when the gap becomes too large it will cycle on and off constantly. There is a simple fix someone came up with that I found on Volvospeed you can do to fix this problem. It only takes a few min and wont cost you more than a couple dollars, I did it myself and it worked great.

1994 Hyundai Excel Air conditioning RADIATOR´S FAN works always very fast

this not really a problem as the fan speed is controlled by the high preasure switch in the ac system the hotter it is outside the higher the preassure will be in the system as hot as its been the preasure is high already when the compressor cycles it pulls suction on one side and outputs high preasure on the other the fans cool the condenser the higher the ambient temp the faster they go so all is fine...
