Question about 1997 Dodge Dakota
You have either a bad alternator or grond that is draining the electricity into the chassis. If that is the case, when you turn the lights on there wont be enough juice to power the ignition system. Autozone and many other reputable auto parts stores may chech your charging system for free. Good luck and i hope i was able to shed some light on your issue.
