Fuel pressure low? MAF sensor issue? Run code retrieval from engine computer and post them her, will try to help. Also test fuel pressure, has filter ever been changed?

2005 f150 was running just fine and then all of sudden lost power and then shut off. Tried to restart and it started for second then shut off again.

Need more info., but same thing happened to me on my 01 f150, found out the spare key that I was using at the time, had a programmable chip that was going bad. Had new key programmed and solved problem. Hope that helps.

My f150 started running rough and lost power...i replaced the fuel fitler and it ran better....now its back doing the same thing but now when you give it gas it backfires.....

The fuel pressure is weak, this happens a lot,the fuel filter was restricted ,and stained the fuel pump, this is a common thing,on all makes and models, the fuel pump is in the tank.

1991 gmc sonoma random loss of power

could be the crankshaft sensor causing the timing to be off if it has a coilpack type distributor or if it has a gear driven distributor then it could be either the distributor itself or possibly just cap and rotor
