Need more info., but same thing happened to me on my 01 f150, found out the spare key that I was using at the time, had a programmable chip that was going bad. Had new key programmed and solved problem. Hope that helps.
The fuel pressure is weak, this happens a lot,the fuel filter was restricted ,and stained the fuel pump, this is a common thing,on all makes and models, the fuel pump is in the tank.
I Have a 1999 ford f150 4.6 that back fires and is just running really ruff when idling alot of nack fire a sord of like a pulse going on what is my problem?
could be the crankshaft sensor causing the timing to be off if it has a coilpack type distributor or if it has a gear driven distributor then it could be either the distributor itself or possibly just cap and rotor
