Thats code for a bad O-2 sensor. That can be caused by antifreeze getting into the exausht. Try clearing the code and putting in a can of Sea-Foam. I have had good success with that cleaning off the sensor.

Lean bank 1 and bank 2 , and throttle actuator system fault. Check reason for lean codes 1st, vacuum leak(s), air inlet boot and hoses, or low fuel pressure / clogged filter. Repair as needed then clear codes and recheck .

Ses light on code po102 and po171 2000 buck lesabre
Have 2000 Buick Lesabre custom every time car gets up to operating temp. the engine misses going down the road , also let car sit and idle and it shuts off after about 2 minutes , my code reads PO171 system to lean bank 1, changed co2 censor, mass air flow censor, plug wires, and plugs.

1996 olds cutlas supreme, 3.1 L has trouble codes PO171 and PO300. Any Ideas?
The po300 is a misfire code.This means there is probably a plug,plug wire,ignition coil,or ignition module.Check the coil towers one at a time.These are know for corroding.If you find one that is corroded then replace the plug wire also.Po171 is a lean condition code.The po300 could be causing the po171.If you have not had a tune up Now would be a good time.Hope this helps.Good luck.

code P0300 means random cylinder misfiring, have u checked spark plugs and cables

1996 ranger 4.0 codes po171 and po174 come up on the screen
Check for vacuum leaks, especially the intake manifold gaskets. If those are o.k., clean the Mass air flow sensor.

I have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe with a 2.4L engine, car would sputter and shake while driving on highway no check engine light comes on and I already changed the plugs, cables and coils and nothing. RPM's drop when waiting at lights or stop signs, have to put in on neutral so it doesn't shut down.
