Question about 1995 Buick Park Avenue

1 Answer

I recently acquired a 1993 Buick Park Avenue. The motor that makes the antenna go up and down runs continually but the antenna does not move. It runs my battery down and I have to get jumped off, I have tried every fuse in the box, at this point I just want to find the exact power wire to the motor and unhook(or cut) it, but which one is it? Help!

Look in the trun k on the ant side and pull back the the felt and you will see where it connects and disconnects. You have a broken antenna lead. At the bottom of all electronic antennas is a plastic lead that fits in the motor to wind the antenna up or down. The motor is still good you only need to replace the stem. Good luck.

2002 buick park avenue power drivers seat won't go up or down

The most common problem is the gear breaking under the seat. There is one motor to make the front go up and down and one motor to make the back go up and down. The front up/down motor is the easier one to replace. I have a video of one way to fix the up/down motors. I demo the back motor. Antenna motor runs after car is shut off, without retracting the antenna. I have to disconnect my battery to stop it

Relay #27 in the box under the hood runs only the power antenna on a 1992. For the future here's the parts guide for everything in your jeep. Page 180 has a picture of what you want to pull.

93 buick park ave Ultra. replacing water pump...must I remove the front passenger side motor mount??

Yes. Put a jack under the motor and remove 3 bolts from side of engine and the long center pivot bolt in mount and the 2 bolts that go top down into the frame and loosen the 2 bolts below mount. Jack up the motor until you can separate the mount, leaving the engine side in and removing the frame side. The engine side can be moved out of the way without completely removing.

1993 buick park ave will not change gears

Have your Catalytic Converter checked for free flow, (if it is stopped up with calcification from unspent fuel, then the car will have trouble moving at all). A tell tale sign of oncoming Catalytic Converter problems is the overdrive balking or wanting to hesitate, when the transmission is in overdrive the vehicle is running at its lowest r.p.m. and so like at idle it will stumble or hesitate, or cut the engine altogeter, for the motor has to be able to exhale, to exhaust its combustion gases, in order to run properly, stopped up catalytic converters are a big problem with this car.

No power to the mirrors, driver seat, door lock ,power antenna

some relays are in the fuse panel and some are under the hood in a box.

Relays are used when high current is involved. seats and windows use relays as well as fuses. Your owner manual should say where the underhood relays are. Or call your dealer service department.
