Question about 1998 Ford Contour
I had this happen to me last year on my 98 contour se. i was at a red light, in park cuz it was acting wierd. i put it into drive when the light was green, and it just sounded like it was in neutral. first second and drive all sounded like neutral but reverse worked so i reversed across 3 lanes of traffic. turns out, its cuz my transmission busted and it was cheapest to get a new one, which is nice in the long run cuz now my car beats mustangs (some) when i race my friends lol. but thats bad news for u if u have the same issue, because u gotta drop a couple thousand bucks for a new transmission, good luck to you. more questions - just email me firstname.lastname@example.org id be glad to help.
