-   I have the same problem with my brake lights. Just went out yesterday on my 02 Golf. One problem after another with this volkswagen. Starting to wonder why I got a vw. -   cats13

in my 04 jetta this was a blown fuse....my speedometer wasn't working either they were on the same fuse....since I don't pay attention to my speed in town I didn't realize this until the next day after noticing the break lights.
