Usually on the side of the throttle body. You can try cleaning it with some throttle body spray and reinstall it. Just undo the connector and the bolt that hold it in, then reverse for installation. If you're going to try working on the vehicle, make sure it is off, the battery is disconnected, and the engine is cool before you touch anything. Here is an image of what they look like so you know what I'm talking about.

I rushed. In your case, your air pump is located behind the passenger headlight, in front of the washer fluid bottle. If you find that your air pump is good, your issue could also be caused by the air pump solenoid failing.

Thanks for looking again. Air pump is working when engine cold and first start, just as the test that i've found says it does, but nowhere does it says secondary air injection. thought maybe you've come across that one?
