If you are talking about the front section of the headlight assemblies they don`t as the front portion of the headlight and rear portion of the headlight are a one piece don`t say why you want to do this.if its to replace bulbs they are replaced from behind the assembly,if its because the lens is cloudy they can be cleaned(buffed) clear,if not badly damaged,at a shop that has the equipment to perform the job.

I have a 97 ford taurus and the turn signals in the front work intermittently. And the fuses are OK. Any ideas?

Check the ground wires, they are up by the headlights mounted to the body, black wires if you didn't know

How to replace right front turn signal on a '97 Ford Taurus

The advise above is worthless. You dont have access to the location to where everyone makes it sound so easy to do. It is not easy and no one has been able to explain how to do it. It is increadible how a manufacturer could make such a simple thing so increadibly complexed. I think they did it on purpose so one would be dependent on the service department for additional revenue. Remember these things when they ask for bailouts and try to sell you on how much they care. They are all the same and only care about your monry.

1999 ford taurus with moisture in the headlights

Most headlights lens are sealed up to prevent this problem. A broken seal or a crack somewhere opened up to let in moisture.
You can drill a small hole on the lowest part of the plastic headlight housing to let the water drain out. Or, replace the plastic headlight assembly with a new sealed one.The plastic headlights turn yellow and cloud up over time (not because of moisture inside, because it's plastic getting ruined by the weather and the sun). This problem reduces headlights from putting more light on the road.
The only thing you can do with moisture inside the headlights is to drain out the water that builds up. The seals on the headlights are bad right now and are going to keep letting moisture in. I would replace the both headlight assemblies for new sealed, clear ones.
