There are several possible problems that could cause this issue. First it sounds like you may just have a simple pressure issue that can be resolved by replacing the transmission filter and fluid. You can either purchase a new filter and pan gasket and some transmission fluid from your auto parts store, or you can go to you local oil & lube shop and have them do it. You should also check for any loose, broken or hissing vacuum lines that attach to the engine or transmission. If you decide to perform this you will need a 2-3 gallons drain pan, a socket set, probably both american and metric, the filter, gasket, some RTV silicone, (gasket in a tube) flat and phillips screwdrivers, razor blade, green scotchbrite pad, a funnel and transmission fluid ( around 4-6 quarts.)
Place you vehicle on a level surface that allows you to gain access to the transmission. You can use 4 jack stands for easier access.
Place the oil catch pan under the transmission, using a ratchet and socket remove the dozen or so bolts. ( 7/16 or 12 mm usually). Once you have one end loose you might start getting fluid to come out of the pan. With the pan loose you may need to use a flat screwdriver to lightly pry the pan loose. Be careful not to bend the edges or you will have a leak when you reinstall the pan. With the pan removed you will see the filter, it's usually attached with a couple of bolts that are removed with a socket. Remove the fasteners and pull the filter out. Now install the new filter, and before installing the filter cover, (pan) take it out from under the vehicle and clean the gasket material off using a razor blade and a green scotch brite pad. Once its all off clean the inside of the pan and the edges making sure no gasket material is left. Also remove any debris or sludge from the bottom of the pan. Now using the RTV Silicone apply a very thin coat around the gasket area. About 1/16" thick. (You are just applying this so that the gasket will remain in place while you reinstall it. SO very little is needed.) Let the silicone get tacky, about 3-5 minutes before attaching the gasket.
Then attach the gasket and reinstall the bolts. Make sure not to over tighten the bolts and use an alternating tighten pattern to insure you have a even seal. ( like tighten 2 bolts on the drivers side then 2 on the passenger side then 1 in the rear and 1 in front until you have installed all the bolts and have them all tight. Using a shop rag make sure to wipe off the entire work area.
You can now add the transmission fluid. Add 3 quarts to start, then start you vehicle and let it get warm, then checking the transmission Dip stick continue to add 8oz or half a quart at a time until you have reached the full mark. You do not want to over fill the transmission. Also look to make sure that the new pan gasket isn't leaking any where.
Once you are finished, shut off the vehicle, remove it from any jack stands or ramps and take it for a test drive. If you notice the same issue you may have a valve sticking in the throttle body of the transmission which will require a qualified service tech. to repair.
