2005 Ford Escape Logo

2005 for escape limited, recently had a hit a run, took it to collision center to get fixed, yet right after getting the car, my emissions light came on. I also noticed that my gas meter always stays at 3/4 of tank even though I have filled and used the vehicle. can you let me what could be wrong?

If it was hit in the back and the fuel tank
removed or replaced,the job wasn't
done correctly

You have EVAP Codes and Fuel Sending
Unit issues.
Could be vacuum hoses were not hooked up
correctly & wires not as well, on the fuel unit

Sloppy work-if that was the case

With a po193 code can my van pass emissions

I noticed you said "van", the title of the question says "Problem with 2005 Ford Escape". I just wanted to make sure we're talking about the same vehicle. That code (for an Escape), would be a Fuel Rail Pressure and/or Temperature Sensor. As long as you have a check engine light on, you will not pass emissions. As soon as they see the light on, they will fail you immediately because they plug there monitoring machine directly into the OBD-II port. (On Board Diagnostics Series 2) under the drivers side dash. If the check engine light is not on at the time of the test, you might pass emissions as long as the engine is running ok.
I hope this info helps!subyguru

05 Ford Escape, started one morning but died after a few feet. ...emissions light on, wont start but spark it appears only on middle front coil- the outside two replaced along with new battery and crank...

emissions light on ???? What code is stored in the PCM ?Just Replacing part's isn't the way to a fix ,testing the electrical circuit's of the engine management system ,sensor's etc.. Without testing we would only be guessing ,sorry you can't afford to take it in , but ,that's is your only option . For what you spent on replacing part's an not fixing it ,you could have had it fixed at a qualified repair shop.

2005 Ford Escape, emission light on. Had tested and read coil D misfiring or something. Had front 3 coils changed. Emission light still on, car does not have a lot of power, struggles to go up the smallest...

bad catalytic converter. The three coil's an spark plug's in the back ,under intake manifold . If the spark plug's on these coil on plug ignition systems don't get replaced the plug gap get's to wide an then the spark can not jump the gap . Shorts out the coil , find's shortest path to ground an it goes into the PCM an fries the computer . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop

In my 2005 Ford Escape, my check emission system light constantly comes on, but then will shut off randomly. What causes this problem, or could this just be some sort of electrical malfunction?

It is a malfuntion alright
Anytime you get any light on the dash, you got problems
These lights have been on vehicles for 30 years, still there are thousands of people on this site along, who have no clue,no owners manual, and on and on.
Check for the code and have it repaired, won't go away
Part of the Govt's attempt ,for the last 50 years, to cut down on Exhaust Emissions, but people don't care.

After accident and repair - warning lights and cold start issues

Any time these lights come on there is need for concern. I'd suggest you take it back to the place which repaired the car and have them fix it.
